The "Best of London" walk invites you to travel through the heart of this cosmopolitan metropolis, tracing a historical path that winds through iconic landmarks, political powers, and cultural treasures.
Our adventure will begin in London Victoria, a bustling transport hub full of energy.
The journey continues first to Buckingham Palace, the royal palace, and then to Westminster, where we will be welcomed by the famous abbey, home to coronations of the British monarchs. Stand in awe before the imposing silhouette of the Houses of Parliament and the iconic Big Ben.
We will then stroll along Whitehall, a street rich in history and power. Pass by Downing Street, the Prime Minister's residence, and the renowned Horse Guards Parade, where the Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place. Feel the weight of history at the Cenotaph, a poignant war memorial.
Next, we arrive at Trafalgar Square, a lively square adorned by the soaring Nelson's Column. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, admiring the fountains and iconic lion statues guarding the square. The renowned National Gallery, home to a world-class art collection, stands proudly nearby, offering a cultural oasis.
From there, after walking along the fascinating Strand, a street lined with elegant buildings and theatres, we will arrive at Fleet Street, once the center of the British press. Here, famous authors like Virginia Woolf and Charles Dickens once walked this very street.
After admiring St Paul's Cathedral, the main place of worship of the Anglican religion, we will cross the Thames along the Millennium Bridge, a modern marvel that offers breathtaking views of the city skyline.
We will conclude our walk at the historic London Bridge, admiring its iconic structure and connecting with centuries of history.
